Question Hacking into Windows 7 password protected user account - Possible?

  • Is it possible for some one to hack into a password protected user account in Windows 7?
  • If so, are there any possible ways to find if the PC had been hacked or secure the PC against it?

Overall, yes. It's VERY easy to get into most windows machines. The method necessary depends on a few factors and some methods leave "traces", others not so much.

best thing I can advise you to do is make sure your windows firewall is on, Have anti-virus installed and make sure you run windows update frequently

if all else fails, try installing a keylogger. it records everything that you do, well mostly everything. if you click your mouse, it records it, if you type a sentence, it records it. hope this helps

Say if your friend wanted to hack into your account i think it's as easy as running in safe mode, logging on to the administrator and removing the password of the account you want to hack. Might be wrong there...
