Re: Bandicam, What is it capable of?

Yeah there are dozens of ways to download YouTube videos. It all comes down to personal preference.

The only reason I use youtube-dl is because I don't need to install anything, there is no need...

Re: Bandicam, What is it capable of?

Bandicam is freemium software (maybe more like crippleware, I think it adds watermarks and such). You can just test it. As for youtube-dl, I can test it for you and then you can decide if it's worth...

Re: Bandicam, What is it capable of?

I think this thread already exists. Anyways, try youtube-dl. It's a command line utility, but it does about everything.

Re: CPU heatsink upgrade

What makes you think the paste is fine? If you recently swapped processors, it's all the more likely that the paste needs replacing.

Re: other hobbies

Both things are very subjective. Perhaps you just haven't met a lot ok like-minded people.

That's one of the reasons why we all love computers, isn't it? You can do so many things with them that...

[Deleted]

Confused the OP with someone else. I agree with Cortb. You should try thermal paste first. Also, try removing the dust and clean everything with compressed air.

Re: Electronic address book

Seems hard to imagine a way to update and share data on real time without using cloud software, especially since it has to be accessed off-site.

By the way, root, you said "your organization uses...

Re: Electronic address book

Yet you use email to distribute your address book. How is that different? Are you using your own SMTP server?

Re: My New Build

If you have a 32GB SSD, you'd want to use it as cache. Otherwise, if you just put Windows in it, all you are gonna get are fast boot times and slow everything else.

Actually, what you should have said is: "modified version of Debian GNU/Linux". I know I must be coming across as a douchebag, and given your experience in the field you probably already know this,...

So, right now you have a big Word document with everyone's name and phone number? What information exactly (or rather, fields) are you keeping in the address book?

Yeah. For example, your 2 year old kid is playing in the mud naked, you take a picture and upload it. Tons of people do that and then they get angry when they get reported and their posts are taken...
