The PCI-E slot works perfectly. I don't know if they're related or connected to each other in any way though.

I just want a CPU, probably around 400-500watts, that works with core 2 duos, single video cards (dual is good oto), is cheap, and is quality.

I chose a better PSU that I've heard good things abotu from other forums. Its FSP (fortron or w/e). Good stuff.

If I had a $200 budget for 1gig of ram I'd get it. But im on a 80-130 budget for ram.
Also, the Rosewills are reviewed well, why do you say that it won't be able to protect me from a possible power...

But, I'm a mostly average user, I don't need to spend hundreds on super PSUs. Especially considering the psu that came with my $50 case works just fine. (350w too!) My case isn't half bad either....
