Re: Random Chit Chat

Hello everyone, :p

It feels like a short while, but it's probably been at least a couple of years since I have been consistently active on this forum.

TBH, CF mainly just dropped down on my...

Re: computer wont boot!!

Is there any way you can get a proper POST screen up. I assume yours in just an HP logo. Go into the BIOS and find an option to "display the POST screen"/"disable quick boot", something along those...

Re: Disabling digital signature pop up boxes in Win 7 Pro

This is pretty much Microsoft's way of idiot proofing their OSs. If you feel that you have a decent amount of common sense, then it's perfectly safe to disable UAC using the method above ^^

Re: **New Build Guide**

You don't really need to spend a lot on a motherboard if you're not overclocking, apart from if you want a multi-GPU setup. The ASRock should do exactly what it says it will, and I don't think you...

*Currently updating, should be done in a few hours. I feel embarrassed that this is so out of date.*

Re: Random Chit Chat

That's easy for you to say. That's the end of our "golden generation" and they didn't win anything!

Re: Random Chit Chat

Oh come on it was clearly in. You could tell by the ref's behaviour in the second half that he felt terrible. It could have changed the match entirely.

Re: Random Chit Chat

Best game of the world cup so far though!

Tactically we were bad. Our defending was woeful, but it was great when we came back from two goals down.
Or at least we should have if the referee...

Re: Scary Moment

That was lucky. Quite often you'll need to release the clutch between shifts if you're changing down a few gears at a time.

I had an equally scary moment a couple of days ago. I was coming up to a...

Re: FIFA World Cup

I can actually be either. I am English at the moment but I can become French in 6 months time when I'm 18, if I choose to. That's really weird now that I think about it... :p

Re: FIFA World Cup

He's been injured most of the season and when he has played he has seems off the pace, he's not up to the hype, and Gerrard is a much better captain. I think Capello will probably pick Carragher over...

Re: Who drives a manual transmission here?

Across the pond, this question is very strange unless you replace "manual" with "auto"

If you like driving, and don't just see it as a chore or a simple means of transport, there is no contest....

Re: Phenom II overclocking

Yes, I've been keeping an eye on the HT link, I've been trying to keep it relatively constant, and increasing the NB when I need to.

Anyway, here's 3.8, I did have to increase the voltage a bit...

Re: Phenom II overclocking

On my first venture into the BIOS I set the voltage manually to their default values, so that the board would not increase them automatically.

Then to eliminate variables during my CPU overclock,...

Phenom II overclocking

Thank god I've finally got a computer again! :p
I sold my E3110 intel setup weeks ago. Everything would have gone fine if only my first motherboard hadn't been DOA. So I then had to wait for...

Re: overclocking nightmare

You have to almost deliberately try to fry something through overclocking to cause any kind of real damage.

Talk us through everything you did, usually a CMOS reset will fix things.

I bought the MSI 770-C45. I haven't got my PII yet but I'll let you know how it handles a thrashing.

Re: Random Chit Chat

It has two fully enabled RV870 Cypress cores working in Crossfire at slightly lower clocks than the HD 5870. Each core has access to it's own memory. It's basically HD 5870 Crossfire on a single...
