this is true. However the change will be a slow one and it has to come at it's own pace. Making huge economical changes just so athletes have cleaner air to breathe is not really an option.

wrong. They have most definitely done pretty much everything they could to reduce pollution. For example, before the olympics started (and I'd imagine it's the same now) cars are allowed to be used...
