Default Writing a Script for a Browser

I am trying to write a script to use in an internet browser. I have never written a script, but I used to do some coding a long time ago. I have completely lost any knowledge I had, which was very little. I want a script that clicks 3 buttons, the first click opens a drop down menu, the second clicks an option in the drop down menu, the third clicks an item on the page. Ideally I would like it to run continuously, but vary in timing. Meaning I want it to run the script to click the 3 buttons, but do it in random intervals of anywhere between 20-45 minutes. I have tried doing some research and am trying some stuff out on my own, but I haven't had any success yet. If anyone has any helpful information or a good tutorial to go off I would really appreciate it. If you need anymore information please let me know. Thanks in advance!
