Where should I get started in this strange world of programming?
What should I do?
What should I learn first?

python is a good first step. It is used in many advanced programs, that are made in C, and such. It is also the networking backbone for many programs.

I'm new and I'm learning C, but I also have a private teacher.

java's pretty easy, use jbuilder
