Default tv card set up help

Hi, I just got a new comp thaty has a tv card installed. Just wondering how i set it up as i have tryed with no luck. currently the comp is in the lounge room with a normal tv in the lounge to. I have a set top box in a couiple other rooms. and foxtel (cable tv) in 3 other rooms but cant seem to get any tv signals. Help would be great.

How exactly is a tv card supposed to work? I've never seen one. Is it like an antenna or do you have to hook it up? or is that what you're asking? lol

Do you know the band of the tv card? Did the computer that you got have any documentation that came with it, or anthing like that. Can you tell us what the I/O ports are on the back of the card too, so we have a better idea of what the options are.
