Default transferring hard drive

One of my co-workers is trying to find out if he can take the hard drive out of his old computer with all his music and stuff saved on it and switch it with the hard drive (empty) out of a new computer?? Or does he just have to back everything up that he wants to save (i.e music) to a re-writeable disk??

Default Re: transferring hard drive

You cannot just switch two hard drives like that, but you can move the old hard drive into the new compter as a slave to copy all the files you want to the new hard drive.
