Default JRE Giving Headaches

I'm trying to install JRE on Ubuntu. I followed all the instructions on Sun's site and linked the file in the JRE plugin dir to /usr/lib/firefox-3.6.3/plugins. Checked the link, it's valid but FireFox hasn't installed JRE!

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with this. I would recommend that you have a look at installing jre on 10.04. This article from the ubuntugeek is really good.

Cheers!

Thanks, but this doesn't install the plugin?

Never mind, I got it thanks to FireFox Plugin Finder.
