Default How do I see what is running on start-up

I`m sorry to have to ask this question again...
I was given an answer before, *But I`m in my mid sixties and I can`t find the piece of paper I wrote it on...LOL)
I want to stop some of the programs from running as soon as I start my computer...
I remember it was something like: msconfig???
Could anyone answer this for me *I promise to write it down again*
Thanks guys/gals...
