good program to program

What is a good program to make programs? i heard visual basics or something but i cant find a link to something where i can actually open it up. so can someone please send me the link and a name of a good program to program? thanks.

www.eclipse.org if your going to be writing your own code. It also has a GUI plugin for making java GUI's

Just BASIC for beginners. It has something called FreeForm-J which is a GUI designer. It also has a wonderful forum.

Or Liberty BASIC. It also has a GUI designer and a forum
