Contorl Memory
A microprogrammed CPU has 1K words in the control memory.Each Instruction needs 8 micro instructions.Assuming that the opcode in the macroinstruction is of 5 bit length...propose a mapping scheme to generate control memory addresses for the opcode...?
plz gv me some hint on how to solve...all i now is that 2^10=1024...there 10 bits for addresses....5 for opcode (as mentioned )...what about the 8 micro instructions...? |
