yeah i just spent 3 hours on that site... it's easy and it's good

personally I wouldn't start with PERL or PYTON, I'd either start with a visual language, like visual basic, or I'd start with C. Both are incredibly easy to learn, and you'll get an actual program at the end as opposed to a script. So you'll have a much better sense of satisfaction.

The only reasons that I disagree are:
1) I (personally) think that python is easier to learn than C (but I've never tried a visual langauge, so I don't know about them...)
2) Python scripts can be converted into exe's, so they can make programs

However, C is a much more powerful language, so its really up to you...

but yes C is definatelly far more powerful

C is certainly more power - I hope one day to learn C++ after (or indeed if) I learn C#.

If you were to ask me, then I would have to say you should start off with Python. Python is powerful language though easy to learn. I started C++ again right after and I found it to be much easier.
