Anyone have any idea on finding how to create a Calorie Counter?

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum (if it isn't please move to the appropriate place).

I am making a website, and want to create a calorie counter program (or find someone who knows how to work with me). I tried to google this, but it just takes me to a bunch of places that have it, and not links to show you.

You will need some kind of database that contains the calories of foods to link everything up to. the USDA publishes a free one you can download and use as part of your program:

How you actually do it, varies by your programming language of choice.
