Default Any advice for a MIS major?

Hello all,

This is my first post, hopefully the first of many upon many. I will be starting school in the spring majoring in MIS (management information systems, sometimes referred to as computer information systems) and was wondering if anyone had advice, especially any good books or information on materials I can cover within the next few months to be well prepared for the program. I am not a PC expert, however am pretty technically savvy and always find myself fixing everyone else's tech problems.

I apologize if this thread is off topic and offends anyone, just looking for some useful infomation! thanks!
