Default Adventurous Newbie needing help.

Hey, I've been thinking about making my own media player, but my knowlege of C++ is very limited. I did cover some in college, and have started reading a book about it. I have installation discs of MS Visual C++ 6 (I think 6).

Would anyone want to lend a hand and some hint and tips? I would really like some Ideas on the GUI, so anyone can help me with that.

I want it to support as many media files as possible too.

Anyway, it's not ment to end up a spot on player in the end, more like a good attempt at my 1st major C++ program.

Thanks all.

I've just looked at mals page, and bookmarked the C++ tutorial link.

God, there was no need to post this, there's that much in the Computer Programming bit.
