Well, I can help you balance stuff around. I can get you an extremely nice build for around $700.00, which can easily be overclocked to compete with the high end gaming rigs. Start looking on www.newegg.com
. You will find nicer stuff for extremely cheap/affordable prices. That computer won't give you good results. It won't run the newer games at high settings. Maybe low to medium, at best.
I'll give you an overview of my build.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz-$189.99+Free Shipping
Motherboard: Asus P5QL PRO-$89.99 (Bought at store.)
RAM: Kingston Hyperx 1GB DDR2 800(x2)-$44.00 (Bought at store.)
GPU: PNY Nvidia 8800GT: $110.99+Free Shipping
Case: TRICOD 9003 Black http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16811240001-
The case came with a great 500W power supply. So, I saved a good hundred or so dollars there. Total cost is $510.9x, give or take 5 dollars for state tax on the motherboard and RAM. The case is discontinued now. But, I would have highly recommended it. Don't hesitate to ask for opinions or advice. i'm not the smartest guy here. But, I am cheap. Ha!
P.S. You can spend the rest of your budget and buy a nice monitor if you make a similar build to mine.
