Okay, I know I am crazy, but I want to do a vmod on my 4870x2. I've kinda had it with being limited by the 1500mv in afterburner.
Anybody know of a guide for this card? I know what I need to do, but would rather see some before and after results.

Thanks. That looks good.
I think I am gonna try my 5750 too. AFAIK, there still isn't a vmem mod for it, so I'm gonna poke around with a multimeter a bit tomorrow and see what I can find. A pencil mod could also be feasible on this card, but I have yet to see it.

I've never really looked into Vmods too much before, always been afraid to try.

I think I might have identified a vmem pencil mod for the 5750, but I need a new battery for the multimeter to make sure.

Sweet. Are you trying to really push your 5750?

I'm expecting over 1k core, hopefully I'll be able to get more like 1050.
YAY I managed to create a working pencil mod for the 5750. I am also working on a hard vmod so I can just dial in the voltage for testing. Hard vcore mod is a go. I also have added a molex connector for easy reading of vcore, and the fan is now soldered onto the board's voltage input, so it will no be limited by what the built-in controller can supply. Here are pictures. ![]() ![]() I just need to work on something for vmem and possibly a better cooler mod and this thing will be epic.
