Before i ask the question i'll give the specs of my computer so you guys can help me out better:
AMD FX 8150
ASrock 990fx extreme3
16 gb ram 1600mhz
coolmax 700w psu
amd hd 6790
coolermaster hyper 212+
all tucked inside a nzxt phantom with 6 fans, 2 of which are 200mm on the top

so my question is (which may be stupid so please excuse my stupidness, my first build) will my core be stable and cool enough if i push the cpu up to 4150 mhz or even 4500 mhz? the asrock bios makes if simple for the overclocking. thank you for any advice

MIke

Should be cool enough, only way to test if it is stable is to try it and run a stress test

Thats good to hear, hank you. Also will my psu be fine? I have heard rumors about coolmax psu being horrible

well it's a 700watt I don't see any problems, your graphics not 100% sure won't need more then 550.. and your cpu uses about 90.

Sounds like you have enough cooling to overclock quite a bit, 6 fans is more than enough. Just make sure everything isn't all covered in dust so you get max airflow and make sure you monitor your temps with a monitoring software.
