Is the multi locked at 15x200, or is it crashing when you go past 3 GHz? Are you using some sort of auto-OC thingy, or doing it manually?

First thing first, have you consulted the manual? One of my old boards had an option buried in one of the menus that had to be selected just to enable overclocking. And it wasn't labeled anything obvious like "overclocking" or "clock control."
Does the motherboard correctly detect you CPU, including the Black Edition label? Are you on the most recent BIOS? Are you able to change clock settings for things besides the CPU multi?

![]() thats what i got, but i cant move up and down to select anything else. I did look in the manual, but i did not see anything. I shall look again. And im pretty sure it detects my CPU right? CPUZ senses it correctly. ALSO... apparently i cant upload any pics to Image Shack or Photobucket? That pic was from my cell

What BIOS version? If you're on F6, try the F7 beta. If it's anything earlier, flash to F6. GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM2+ - GA-MA790GP-UD4H (rev. 1.0)

Make sure you do it from DOS, not Windows. If it screws up, the chip is often soldered to the board, so the only way to fix it after that is with a PIC programmer.
