Default Overclocking

do overclocks shorten the life of a processor? i've heard that they do, if they do then by how much?

You'd think it would shorten the life of a processor because you have it running at a higher temperature (if you really push it). I'm starting to believe that is a myth, but who knows. If it does shorten the life of a processor, then it isn't by much. You'll probably be replacing it before it has a chance to die.
