Default over-clocking core 2 extreme

want to know if you could over-clock an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300

paired with 6gb of ram and dual dedicated graphics cards....

seems like a good cpu for the price... not looking for lots for performance because the games I play, integrated graphics and core 2 duo are more then enough

Dude. The Core 2 extreme are pretty much meant to be overclock.
So short answer, Yes. You can overclock it.

If it has extreme in the name it is meant to be overclocked. Crank the shit out of that classic pre core iX days beast and let us know what you got

Like said go for it, Looking at a thread on Toms Hardware someone has overclocked it to 2.93GHz but you could much higher if you wanted..
