Default ocing an amd venice

I have an amd venice 2.2ghtz procesor on a msi board. Im dual booting Ubuntu 9.10 and win xp and i was wondering how to overclock it. I have never attempted this before but if i burn the processor out i have 5 more to replace it. thanks in advance

Have you checked to see if the BIOS is unlocked? I'm not sure where the parts came from, but if they were part of a retail system the BIOS is probably locked.

go into BIOS and look for any FSB modification abilities.

I built it my self it has an msi ms-7268 v1.1 mainboard... Can you tell me the pll settings so i can use setfsb to oc it
