Just got a slotket from Ebay, and it appears to come with a '1ghz' Coppermine PIII with it... well... it didn't...
At a 100MHz FSB, it was a measly 850Mhz. Well, okay. It ran pretty well, fast, didn't lock up, and ran Need for Speed: Most Wanted beautifully!
Well, today I bumped the VCore up a notch, and started knocking up the FSB. Eventually I reached 140MHz FSB (155 wouldn't even get it into Windows). Final processor speed? 1.2GHz. Yes, 1.2GHz on a Coppermine core.
Time will tell how stable it is in this configuration, and I'm gonna get another two 256MB sticks of PC133 for a grand total of 1GB of RAM, and probably a new video card.
How/what program should I use to benchmark this machine, and what/where can I get a decent cooler for a Socket 370 P3?
