My Compaq CQ61 311Ax Cooling questions

Hey computerforums users Ive recent bought a compaq Cq61 311AX
And when playing High performance games like cod 4 and stuff it gets to hot for my liking
And even when idle i think its running hot Theirs nothing Wrong with its. its allmsot brand new I was think about buying a cooling pad is this Aloud with my model of computer
And if so what is the best one u can get. thanks

How hot is it running and what are you using to monitor your temperatures?

Atm im using everest home edition if u can direct me to a better program.
On Idle no programs running It sits on like 54C While Gaming Its running at like 65-70C Which seems a bit hot But im not sure thats why im here to ask

Is this a laptop? If so, then the only thing you can really do is get one of those laptop coolers that your laptop sits on top of.

yes it is So i ive been lookin around and cant really find a really good one any suggestions would be good

Anything with a fan should be good enough. What size is your laptop?

its about 15 or 16 inchs Across
