Hi, I currently have a northbridge chip on my laptop without any sort of thermal cooling to it. I accidentally lost the one that came from factory and was wondering what would be a good choice for cooling.
I have heard that a copper shim can beused, either that or just buying another thermal pad for the chip. My questions are; Which one of the cooling methods is better?, How would I even install a copper shim?(bought off ebay or something), If i buy another thermal pad, will any kind from any brand work? Any help would be appreciated thanks!
