it is also possible to overclock it wrong. go check what settings oders are using. you have only overclocked it 0.6 ghz. that should not be enough to get 100C on core temp. specially when you have a case like that.

everything is on factory settings. thats what i mean it makes no since to be that hot when its not oced

yeah that really is strange.
the only conclusion i can think of is that your cooler is not installed correctly. try to take it off, put on some quallity thermal paste(thats for your own good. might as well do it while you have the cooler off) and install the cooler again. i have a friend that had the same problem. when he pressed the cooler against the cpu with his hand, it maked the temps go down. |

yea ill try that, what temp doesthe cpu goto b4 it will just shut down from over heating?

hmmm. i think it depends on the motherboard and i think my does it at 100. but thats not on the core temp but the CPU temp. CPU temp usely is a little lower then core temp.
i have had a overheating crash before, and i think it was about that tempature. so you can see you are cloose |
