fan adapter help

hey so im building my first gaming computer. everything is going smoothy until i come to this. so i bought this asus board Newegg.com - ASUS P8Z77-V LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. and it has for the fans 4x 4 prong male plugs and 1x 4 prong male cpu plug. i also bought an NZXT Phantom case Newegg.com - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001RD Red Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case. it comes with fans in it. and the plugs for the fans are black 3 prong male connectors. iv been looking for adapter but cannot find a single one.

The 3 pin connectors will work just fine. Simply plug them in using the plastic keyway. They can only go in one way. Don't worry about the 4th connector.

Make sure to use the CPU_Fan connector for your cooler's fan.
 
I think I've seen this before, but not sure, never owned the case. I believe its the cable from the front/top panel speed control PCB to another PCB in the case where all the fans are plugged in -- check you case instructions.
