Default CPU Themal Glue Recommendations Help

As the title says I need brand/type recommendations.
I bought a working cpu & heatsink fan, off ebay. No glue included.
I have a duo core2. I seek to game online. Tight budget.

Anyway Hi zlash50

Artic Silver 5 is very good and the only one I will use in a new build or cleaning.

If you use thermal glue, to be blunt, you'll play hell getting them apart in the future.
Like kitty says, Artic Silver 5.

This can be true with many thermal pastes anyway!

It's all in the wrist.
When you remove a heatsink from a cpu chip you do it while it's hot. Release the hold downs and give it a real easy clockwise then counter clockwise twist. Or vice versa. Not enough to twist the chip out of the socket but just enough to break the connection of the paste.
If ya do that when it's cold, then yeah, you can get a lot of resistance.

When I was pulling apart some old Dells, the bond between the heatsink and the CPU was so strong that the heatsink ripped the CPU right out of the socket.
