Case log - Thermaltake Armor

I have put this off for too long... It is time to get to work on my case.

For reference, here is a pic before any modding.



What I intend to do is:

invert the case (complete)
rebuild drive bays
new side panel
paint the interior
custom top grille
sleeve every cable individually
cut cable management holes
rework the liquid cooling system
cold cathodes (maybe)

and probably a whole lot more.

I am still undecided on color. I was thinking of leaving the exterior as is, and painting the interior a dark maroon. Opinions on this? I was also thinking that grey cable sleeving would look good with that color scheme.

Flat maroon could be cool. Never cared for gloss interior paint.

Motherboard looks so tiny in there haha.

Agreed. I dislike glossy paint in general. It just looks bad.

Lol I thought the exact same thing. The mobo looked much bigger before the invert.

Hmmm what about powder coating?

Lol I am thinking that doing it myself might be better. $100 for all the stuff, except an oven.

400 degrees. I am gonna start watching craigslist and such for old ovens.

What color would look best?

I am thinking the purple red. Both will have gloss killer added. I am also thinking that it would be epic to powder coat the exterior black with maroon glow in the dark additive. Hmm... IDK about that.

Tomorrow, I am gonna have a crack at removing the front drive bays.
