Hey i was wondering if anyone on this forum is an experienced AMD overclocker, cause i really need to break this wall. heres my current oc, prime95 stable:
![]() So im at 900mhz 9-9-9-24 CR1, im so close but nothing works at just getting 950mhz stable.. ive increased the ram voltage to 1.9 loosed timings up to 10-9-10 CR2 increased cpu/nb to 1.35v lowered ht link and nb link to stock speed Set mobo nb to 1.25v i tried all of that and i get blue screens right when i get to my desktop. i just dont get what im missing. 9-9-9-24 CR1 at 1800mhz isnt bad right? setting CR2 shouldve atleast let the ram get to 1900. Should i try cpu/nb at 1.4v, is that safe? maybe i could try 2.0v on dram? Also heres the links to my ram and mobo (Asus clearly states that the mobo supports 2000mhz) : Ram: Patriot DDR3-1600 Mobo: Asus M4A87TD EVO

ram is userly hard to overclock. getter 400 mhz more ram speed is not something you just do.
i cant get my ram to 2ghz ether. i have dominator ram. stuck = 1600 mhz casL 8. i can get mine to 1925mhz, but then i need to go casL9. i am not an expert in overclocking but i am pretty sure that 2V on Dram in way too much. carefull not braking anything. |

i got 1900mhz stable for about 10 min so far lol, i guess its just a limit set in the ddr3 chip itself? no matter what voltage or timing it cant operate at a speed higher than 1800mhz...
But that just doesnt make sense to me though :\
