Wireless Problem

Background:
My old security subcribtion ran out.(Macafee)
Installed AVG 9.
Restarted my PC and Im locked out my wireless connection for a day due to firewall problems.
Today I reconnected, to a 36mbps connection and clicked repair on my tool bar ....

It Disables my wireless connection like normal then shuts down.
It no longer has the wireless connection icon there.
I cant enable my wireless anymore
My wireless IS turned on but something preventing me from making any connections through it.

How do I fix this?
I cant find out how to brinb back the icon as well. I'm on XP btw.

Get rid of AVG. see if i that works. I've always steered away from AVG.

Open Network Connections and see what it is showing for your Wireless Connection. If it is disabled, will it let you enable it? Try Right-Clicking MY COMPUTER>MANAGE>SERVICES>at the bottom WIRELESS ZERO CONFIG>make sure it is ENABLED. Make sure the wireless switch on the laptop is turned on or turn it off and back on.
