Hello again! I have had this problem for a couple years but finally I decided to ask a community for an answer.
My wireless internet get's occasional disconnections from the internet. Same as my laptop. The host computer's internet works fine but the laptop and other computer have difficulties maintaining the internet connection. I have tried using different routers and wireless adapters but they are all the same. I also have a few extra questions for you to answer;
1) Should I upgrade to an N router and wireless adapter?
2) If so should I get the PCI card or the USB?
3) Or should I just plug in the internet directly with a cable?
4) I also can't play LAN games like Warcraft III or Quake 3 from my computer with my laptop, about 5 minutes into the game one of us randomly get's disconnected.
5) Why the hell do I get disconnected from the internet very often? It says it's connected but the internet won't work every now and then.
Host Computer is downstairs
Computer 1 is upstairs with the laptop
I'll give you some more information if it will help you find a solution.
Wireless Network Adapter: NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless PCI Adapter WPN311
Router: Netgear G, don't full details because it's in my dads study.
ISP: Optus
Plan: 20gb +40gb offpeak (if you really need the info!)
Thank you!
If you have a solution but aren't %100 post it anyways! I am tired of not being able to play my brother on LAN!
