Wireless internet disconnects after a few seconds.

Its a desktop, that does give me the idea to bring it to a computer shop that i use to work at, If the connection works over there it will show that my computer is compatible with wireless networks. Maybe thats what I can do.

Ok a friendly neighbor/technitian told me the signal is simply too weak. Ill have to buy a new router for the building, its worth it anyways. I hope that solves it because the router is 4 years old!

Hi, I sold my desktop and bought a laptop. Not sure if a new router will make the difference. The old one doesnt have n-technology so maybe a new one will help.
For now im just down the hall of my building using mw laptop. I feel like im in a sitcom lol.

Is there a way to extend an antenna from my laptop. I want to lower it down my window but it will need to be impervious to external conditions. ie water and freezing.
