Edimax EW-7128g in my PC tower. The laptop is a Macbook so what ever they come with standard,

Possibly. Not sure what as i literally live out in the middle of a field and there aren't even any other wireless networks in range.

As of now the issue appears to be fixed. Not sure what exactly changed or what caused it to start working normally again. Thanks for all you suggestions and help.
