Default Wireless card for gaming!

I moved my computer into my room recently and I am in need of a good wireless card. I am looking for a good wireless card for about 30 dollars. A lot of wireless cards that are around 20 dollars seem good but for gamers, I heard they spike a lot constantly. I am mostly a gamer on my PC so I need a very good wireless card which will meet up to my standards! Thanks in advance!

If you game online, your not gonna like it with wireless. You will have a lot more lag. I gave up on it, haha. Sorry, I don't have any suggestions on wireless cards for ya. I have an internal one on my laptop that I used to try to play online with.

Like xtremez said, It will be horrible gaming on wireless. I have before, and switching to hardwire shaved about 10 milliseconds off my ping.

At any rate if your gaming and you really need it to be wireless, save up. All decent cards that won't have as many issues with signal drop and all that fun crap, cost more. If there is still a CompUSA in your area (assuming you are in America) look for Hawking wireless devices. They work like a charm and are more reliable than you could believe.

he asked for a wireless card not opinions on it

my bro bought a netgear wireless card for a laptop for 30$ that can pickup signals at around 30% at a distance of 400 feet!! this is even with an internal attenna too!
if you have pci express this is a good card for 6$ after a MIR!

if you only have regular pci though this is good too

and how much online gaming have you played with these specified cards. Maybe you should read the posts and you would realize that we said he wouldn't be happy with the bandwidth for online gaming with a wireless card (especially not a 30 dollar one).

Now I saw this on Newegg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833122098

Now it supports up to 240mbps but the question is can your service provider support that? I mean, you would have to have a hell of a good connection for that!

Second of all, it says, "When used with a RangeMax 240 router ..blahblah blah." Does this mean you need the router too? Because I didn't find a Rangemax router :P

And I also have a question.

Is it possible to have a wifi card running at the same time as a wired connection? Because I have 5 computers running and when I'm playing games someone manages to "trip" over mine ( :P ) or they just unplug it to plug theirs in... I'm thinking that if you have both connected then when someone unplugs it you have your wifi as a backup so you can get to a safe spot, in most cases, in your game.. or you can finish looking up stuff...

Just an idea.. and I have no idea if it would work.

that adapter just needs a router that supports 240mb/s. just like the one in the example.
when i have wired and wireless on at the same time and i disconnect one usually msn will disconnect then reconnect quickly. i havent tried games or web pages
