Wireless card/Antenna advice.

I'm making the switch from laptop to Desktop and I need advice on a wireless card. I use my friends internet whom lives next door and I need to know what is the best card/antenna combo that can reach the farthest and give me optimal speed.

Hi,

The first thing I want to know is what standard is the router that you are connecting too, ie b/g/n? The next thing to think about is price you can get some amazing equipment for wireless but it would cost you a pretty penny too. Lastly what is the approximate distance that the signal is going to have to travel, is it going through a lot of walls, etc. All important information.
