I decided to keep one destop downstairs and the other upstairs so I got a Linksys router and a Linksys desktop adapter. We got it up and running late this evening and everything seems to be ok. The one that is wireless has a signal strength of good with a speed bouncing between 24.0 and 36.0. The internet speed seems to be just a fast as if it was running off the modem. I put the router downstairs on the new Dell computer, are the speeds I am getting about right for one being upstairs and the other downstairs. Like I said the internet surfing seems fine, and we can print through the network.
