VNC Issues with ports forwarded.

I've got my computers set up with static IPs and the ports forwarded through the router...but when I try to connect to any of them, I get the same thing: Connection refused: 10061. What's wrong?

Hmm... is the VNC service listening? How long does it take before that error appears, is it instant?

Try, as an experiment only, moving just one machine into the DMZ and connect to it then, if it still refuses then it's a configuration problem on your machines other than your router.

How do I tell if VNC is listening?

I set up one computer in the dmz, and still couldn't connect.

Okay... I'll assume you're on Windows.

You need to go into the VNC program group in Start -> Programs, and there's probably an option called "Start VNC service" or something similar. Click that, and it should start.

Then try connecting again. It's been a while since I last configured and used VNC, so I could be wrong, but it's worth a try.
