Hey errbody, I'm new to the forum and hoping to learn some new things here. I'm currently in college studying for a degree in Computer Information Systems and hoping to work in a career involving networking, maybe as an analyst. I've had an introduction to networking and am pretty savvy with computers, but I was wondering if there was any text/software/DVDs, etc. out there that you guys would recommend for learning essential skills for this field? I'm also trying to stay fresh during the summer. :] Also any tips, advice, or information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

What type of CIS? I am thinking about Web design and/or Admin System and networking or is it just CIS?

My major seems to be geared more towards networking and general IT. I'm getting a minor in business with my degree, so it's also geared towards business systems and such.

So far I've been dabbling in some programming and, like I said, some networking. Most of the courses are geared towards systems in businesses, it seems.
