Default usb network adapter

If I buy one like this

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1108125259898

Will it improve my range and stregnth of wifi signals? Because my friend who lives on the street behind me has offered for me to use his intertnet, but I only get like 5-10% signal strength from it. If i buy this adapter will it make it stronger?

Default Re: usb network adapter

you'll probably need to get an additional access point i.e. another wireless router ... or bridge ... to bridge and strengthen your signal across distances.
