Default uplink....

I currently using a dsl modem/router. The ethernet goes to an uplink port on a linksys router, while the usb goes to another computer. Before i had the router, the ethernet was hooked up to another computer, and all was well. Never had any problems.

I then bought a laptop, and wanted to hook it up to the internet as well. So i decided to use the uplink on the router. I dont really know what the problem is. Im on the internet with this computer(connected to the router), but as soon as i try to internet on the othercomputer (connected to the router), the connection just goes away on this one.....It cuts out every so often on this one as well, even when the other comp isnt in use. It just seems like they cant be on the internet at the same time...which i know shouldnt be a problem. Anyone know what the problem might be.

What kind of cables should be used? Anything that might help. Thnx
