Trouble with Wireless Router...

Hey guys I'm new and I have a question. I recently went to home networking with my IP. Whenever I stream media from radio stations my internet connection goes down. I have had my IP come out and they showed me that I have a good signal and that "connectivity" isn't an issue. I also had a new wireless router put in and I got the same issue. So now I am convinced that it has to be the way the network is setup. Can anyone help me with this? Like where I should go in my Windows XP setup to allow media streaming.

Also I tried turning off my Windows Firewall to allow the stream to come in and I still had the issue.

You mean like streaming music from an online radio station ? it should just happen.
try in safe mode with networking, if it works in safe mode could be an infection

Yeah. Infection, do you mean a virus or spyware?
