I need help setting up a nested router. I have a DLink DI-514 router that I want to use for my server. I also have a Linksys router that I've been using for a long time that I have the rest of my network on. To make my server function I need to change the status of several of my ports and I don't want to mess with the ports on the Linksys. So I think I need to have the Dlink connected to the modem and the Linksys connect to the DLink, but how do I make this work?

I don't understand why you need to set up two routers. But, you could set up two different subnets. For example: the first router that's connected to the modem might be at 192.168.0.1, the the second router that's connected to one of the ports on the first router could be set to 192.168.1.1
