I'm considering purchasing one of these;
Buy Cheap TP-Link TL-PA211KIT AV200 Mini Powerline Starter Kit - Bridg Im just wondering if these would work through a UPS?

I can't say whether they'll work thru a UPS or not but I can say that these type of devices are very iffy. I tried a different brand (Belkin I believe). The only place in my house I could get them to connect was between 2 sockets in the same room, same wall, 10 ft apart. YMMV, maybe there is something different about the wiring in my house but I doubt it.

That's something to think about then, i'm either going to use these or just setup a Wireless N Network.

Edit; Just got a response from there support team:
"Dear Luke XXXXXX, Thank you very much for your email requesting information about our product. It does not work if you plug the powerline adapter into a UPS, Surge Protector or Powerboards. "
