Default Powerline Network Adapter

I can't stand it anymore!!!
I'm pulling my hair out constantly because of a very poor wireless connection.
The router is located 40 ft. away, but I think because of all the electronic equiptment in this house, it interfere's with the signal.
I'm going with a D-Link DHP-307 AV powerline adapter.
$100 at Office Depot.
Anyone else using this or other similar set-ups???

One thing to make sure of, is to run the power-line on the same circuit otherwise you could have problems.
