ok my old modem blew up so ihad to buy a new one in this case an "Iball baton adsl 2+ router". the problem is i simply can not open up ports so i searched the net and got a lengthy often confusing way to open up a port in dynamical ip setup, it told me that i had to first change my ip to statical then only i can open my ports ,i did try some of their initial steps but it became more and more difficult.could anyone please help me in this regard and please make it simple ...
thankx    :

pls also make it simple

If your EXTERNAL IP (Like 89.43.94.272) is Dynamic, you have No problem. You need your LOCAL IP (Like 192.168.0.3) to be static (Not always, mind you), then you shouldn't have any problems.

Find out the IP address for your computer (the LOCAL network address), then use that IP when you are port-forwarding on your router.
