No internet connection

My laptop can connect to my wireless connection with excellent signal strengh, also if a lan connectionis made.The internet is working because I can make a connection on another laptop I have. The problem is there is a disconnect between windows xp and my wireless connectors. Keep getting "Can't find server" message. I cannot connect with the internet. Are there any suggestions on how to fix this disconnect between windows xp and lan/wireless software?

Are all the drivers installed everywhere?

Is the IP in the allow section...

Yes all drivers are installed.
I am not sure about the IP in the allow section Could you give me instructions on how to check?

what kind of wireless card is it? did it come with software to controll it?
