new router suggestions

ok so here's the story.

had this router for a while and it worked fine for basic internet browsing.
linksys wrt54g v.5

start spending more time downloading via utorrent and gaming.
tried to forward some ports and find that the default user and password don't work and nobody knows what hey are. i reset the hardware and it asks for a firmware upgrade, i supply to correct files and it says,"failed".

quick check on the internet and i find that linksys' native firmware sucks and third-party firmware is unsupported on v.5 of the wrt54g.

ok so i'm in the market for a new router and i have nothing i know to look for.

i'd love some suggestions. I do have a price cap of about $150 max (of course the lower the better but performance is key), it will need to support at least 2 wired computers, and one wireless. if i can configure it to work with my Wii all the better (linksys won't connect to wii, Wii can see it but not connect.) uses will be what i said above, mainly uTorrent and Gaming (counter strike, CoD4, etc.)

i've looked around newegg but i real don't know what to look for so any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

edit: just been randomly scanning newegg for those with best rating and found http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124190

sounds very good, though right now i'm sceptical about linksys. thoughts?

I have this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124068 and have been very pleased with it. I think that the main difference in it and the one that you have the link for is that the wireless N has a longer signal range. The wireless G would probably do just as good of a job if you don't need it to cover a very big area. One of my friends has the WRT54GL and they have been happy with it.
